We have been getting some very beautifully painted submissions lately that had to be turned down because they were not side-by-sides or a collection of shots showing the art in progress. I  know it's hard to keep all the different groups and their rules straight when you are trying to get your work seen, so here is a quick reminder of what we accept.

1) What can I submit?

Art should be a side-by-side view of your sketch or line art and your finished piece. Just have a look in our galleries for examples of this. If you have several shots of your progress from start to finish please combine them and submit them to the correct folder!

Why only Side-by-Sides and Tutorials?

We are only accepting side-by-sides since this group was accepted by DA under the Resources & Tutorials category. The purpose of the side-by-side galleries is to allow members and watchers to easily see what the artist has done to create their finished work.

2) Nudity?

Yes, artistic nudes are absolutely allowed. How else will we learn to color and paint the body? What we don’t accept are images displaying sexual acts or drug use.

3) Do I have to be talented?

Not necessarily. In order for your work to be accepted you need to demonstrate that you are in the process of learning. This can usually be seen in your side-by-side submission. You may also want to write a little about your goals and process in your description.

4) What if the line art or sketch is not mine?

You must have permission from the original artist and include a link to their deviantArt page or website in your description. If there is no link to their page your submission will not be accepted. A nice way to do this is to write:

Lines: Mr. John Doe (link)
Colors: Me (or put your name)

The Digital-Coloring Gallery includes a folder full of line art and sketches that you may use to practice on! The contributing artists have been very generous and we send a big Thank You to them!

Anything else you need to know? Just comment here and ask!

** Two submissions for each member are accepted each day. That way our Members and Watchers are not overwhelmed and each Digital-Coloring artist’s work can be admired and appreciated. So show off your most prized pieces!

Hey All!
I am a fellow artist here on DA. I am assembling a team of artists to remake a short film I made a while back. There is no commitment asked save for the one each artist chooses. Please take the time to watch the film and if you feel you'd like to contribute to the remake feel free to contact me in a message. I'd love to hear from you! Thanks

Here's a link to the film [link]

Look up "Friends Anyway James Whitley" on youtube if you don't trust that link.
Also check out my recent journal for more info!
